a post on wedding preparation

the weeks and months are coming fast and furious!
and all we know,
it will be time!
haha!
time to be legally married and to celebrate with family members and friends.

now,
there are more things to confirm,
things to decide whether it's necessary and making sure it's within our budget.

what the both of us are busy with are our wedding dinner preparation.
it's something both of us are looking forward to!
because it's our baby.
we plan it, we source for it, we run it and we starred in it.
it will be our night and we want our guests to really enjoy their outdoor wedding experience.
yes,
an outdoor wedding for our dinner reception.
where?
some of you already know the venue while others are still guessing.
=)
soon you will get to know.
for those who knows,
keep the secret a little longer k?
just a hint,
the venue is commonly sound but not a lot of people has been there.
keep on guessing!

the date?
mine and his.
=)
(if you get what i mean)

we've decided to have a do-it-yourself wedding invitation card for the guests since we think it could cut costs and also we can add in our personal touch.
right now,
we are sourcing for fancy papers, colours to fit our theme, wordings, etc.
haha!

i've done with the guest list for dinner and goodness it was hard to stick to 100 names of family and friends.
we're inviting 200 guests.
and the priority will be our family members as the dinner will also served as a 'thank you' dinner for their hard work be it in sponsoring, their time, efforts, etc.

we want our dinner reception to be interactive, interesting, unique and fun.
we want our guests to have as much fun as they can.
=)

as it's an outdoor wedding and not knowing the weather,
we're taking a tentage by outdoor wedding specialist.
we even went down to recce and mark out the size of the tentage and visualized how it would be like,
and came out with the seating layout.
the outdoor wedding specialist lady who saw our layout said "waahhhh…your layout very nice!!"
=)
we are making sure that any guests won't be left out and try as much as possible to make the guest comfortable with the position they're given.

our caterer has been confirmed months back.
it is recommended by my ustaz as the lady is his student.
it is vsion weddings.
it offers a lot of choice for desserts!
haha!
though the price is a little steep,
we don't mind since food quality is one of our priority list.

for decor,
we have yet to confirm.
but i know i would like to be the person to decorate the tables.

geez!
blogging about it makes me more excited!

we're gonna have 3 different photographers for different purposes as we want to capture as much as we can.
be it for the guest and for us.
we want the smiles, laughter and other different expressions to be captured.

as for videography,
we've chosen zero3studio as they were having a good deal.

for our wedding favors,
we are still deciding on something practical.

for mak andam,
we've chosen weddingku gallery.
and surprisingly the mak andam is my mom and my aunt's school classmate.
haha!
=)

we're only gonna do our wedding photoshoot after we get married.
because we think it's more appropriate and you might get to see the glow of the newlyweds.
you know like there's a special connection/bond after you just get married?
the lovely-lovely kind.
so we're not worried or concerned about photoshoot yet.

for honeymoon,
a-ha!
it's either bali or japan.
haha!
it can also be some other place.
we've yet to really confirm because we're torn between the 2.
bali because of the relaxing environment and beautiful scenery.
japan because of the culture (we miss it actually) and also disneyland or disneysea.
maybe both countries ah?
haha.
budget must not run.
i was thinking,
honeymoon should be something that is not really adventurous because for example i want to do this while the partner want to do that, then misunderstanding makes it an unhappy honeymoon trip.
so must find something both of us would like to do.
it should be something relaxing and have a lot of time for one another.

for the theme,
we have an idea but have yet to name it.

the partner is concerned about the diy cards, decoration of the tables and don't know whether there will be other diys because he don't want to tire me out.
but i reassure him because i know i really want to do it because i want to have that personal touch, that uniqueness that defines us.
and if i were to look back,
i won't regret of not doing anything for my wedding.

so sunday we will source out for the materials needed for the invitation card.
=)

it might be tough and we might have our disagreements but eventually we will compromise and come to a decision that both of us will like it.
isn't that what teamwork is about?
=)

on thursday,
the partner, his parents and i went to make his lunch reception invitation card.
haha!

i sensed his excitement.

people asked me "so are you ready for marriage life?"
honestly,
no.
because i don't know what to expect.
but i know there is one thing that i'm prepared.
it is to love my husband for the rest of my life.
with that love it will enable me to get through anything and that love will inspire me to impress my husband.
