my husband turns 28 today,
the 11th october 2011!
this year is our first time celebrating as a married couple.
alhamdulillah!
honestly,
i ran out of ideas of what to do for his birthday.
i had to do some research and generate my creative brain cells to think.
i managed to come up with some plans weeks before and i had a tough time to keep it to myself.
i am too excited to let him know.
in the end,
i did revealed about 15% of his birthday plans and gave 2 of his birthday gifts a day earlier.
one of his birthday gifts include the below.
a journal and stickers.

it has dates and months!
yes, a 2012 organizer!
every end of the year,
i noticed that it has been hard for him to find a nice cover for a full page day organizer.
normally that you find in stores are those weekly organizer.
so for the 1st birthday gift,
i decided to make an organizer for him.
when i presented the organizer to him,
he was pleased with it!
he mentioned that it is a touching gift.
yes, all those dates, months and days are handwritten.
and i add personal touch to special days!
even a public holiday countdown.
and the other surprise was:
i slotted in 2 tickets to the lion king musical in the organizer!
so while flipping through the pages,
he found the tickets and started grinning away!
we had watched the lion king in march.
because it was so good,
my husband did suggest to me that he wanted to watch it again.
but i didn't really agree as the tickets that he bought earlier, cat 2 tickets were ex but the seats were good.

so i told him why waste money again?
we could use the money into our baby fund.
after much thought,
he dropped the idea of watching it again.
since i panic that i didn't have much idea for his birthday,
i decided to get the tickets to the lion king again.

i really felt the hole in my pocket while making the purchase.
but since it is his birthday and i know this will make him happy,
i don't mind.

he got what he wished for!
we still enjoyed the lion king musical the second time round!
on the eve of his birthday,
we had dinner at straits kitchen (third birthday gift).
it has been years since we last visited the place.
the first dish that we had was naan, tandoori chicken and butter chicken!
followed by chinese styled fried rice, crab, rojak and i lose tracked of what else we ate.
we ate to our heart's content.

while we were resting for our last few rounds,
i decided to hand him his fourth birthday gift.

so today he went to work as usual.
but i already planned something for him once he came back.
=)
2nd last surprise for him was a birthday cake.
we had a celebration over at my parents' place together with his parents.
=)
making his wishes!
and he came home to this!
since he has the daddy-to-be kit,
he can aspire to become the
'daddy no 1 in training'
hehe!
*phew*
thank goodness all went on smoothly!

it has been great being married to you honey!
happy becoming 28 once again sweetheart!
this year is gonna be special because you'll be a dad!
i know you will be the best dad to our child(ren)!
