our handmade cards

our dinner reception cards!
we diy because we wanted something unique that have a personal touch.
have you ever received an invitation card that is diy?

in the beginning we went through different inivitation cards so that we have something in mind like how we wanted ours to be.
afterwhich we head down to 'made with love' and 'papermarket' at ps to hunt for the materials.
both of them are scrapbooking shops and have a lots of things, pretty and useful things.

after seeing the materials,
we have to make adjustments to our initial cards that we wanted because it might not be feasible.
at the shops we were discussing, brainstorming ideas and comparing prices.

once we got our materials,
we experimented with it,
placed it sideways,
added this, that.

we then search of invitation wordings that are suitable for our cards and theme.

eventually,
we came to a conclusion.

we made about 200 of the cards.

the cards background are of different designs.
we also bought a punching thingy for the edge of our cards.

we stamped the gold flowery designs.

on the back,
we had either love quotes stickers or rub ons.

to set people in the mood. =)

we stamped the products with our names.

for the envelopes,
we added an already designed scotch tape at the bottom.

we ended our product with a seal of two hearts.
it was like the olden days when they used wax to seal it.

though it was a little tiring,
it was a good opportunity for us to brainstorm ideas and work together.

honey,
it was a good experience isn't it?
it was nice to make decisions together.
=)
