happy 3rd and the chalet weekend

happy 3rd year of friendship baby!
thank goodness i listened to mom and accepted to be your friend.

who would have known that we have a good connection and chemistry that it leads us to become a couple.
we have similar values and think things at the same wavelength.
i can never have a better partner!



i was just reading through our messages in friendster.
it sensed how excited we are in becoming friends.
as we would reply one another asap.

the chalet was a blast!
everyone had fun!
this time around, my family met with his family that includes his aunts and uncles.
a big family gathering!
another successful family gathering!

before the bbq started,
the partner and i went to shop for groceries and prizes for the games!
what prizes was there?
towels, ice cube makers, chocolates, air fresheners, etc.
very practical items.

his parents had offered us a room and we slept over.
together with grandma, fatin, cousin and bibik.

i still rememeber 2 years ago when i was invited to come over for his chalet.
just like what we had.
however,
his family and i were not that very close yet.
ya lah, we were only few months together.
so i attended it with shikin.
which we were given a lot of food to eat!

i finally get to meet up with shikin!
while accompanying shikin to get her altered jeans,
the partner called and asked.

him: hi honey! where are you?
me: at far east.
him: huh? i'm at far east too!
me: what? i thought you left? (he had lunch with his colleagues at straits kitchen)
him: ya lah, left the place and head to far east. which level are you at?
me: level 4.
him: i'm at level 4 too.
me: haha! which area are you at?
him: near the escalator.
and we met.
haha!

he was really excited from his voice and his look on his face when we met.
grinning from far away.
he took me by surprise when i was greeted by a peck on my left cheek.
haha!
we were both elated.
what surprised me was that he gave me his atm card making sure i have sufficent cash.
i was reluctant but he insisted.
well,

then we head to our different places.

me and shikin to suntec.

the body shop is having a warehouse sale till sunday.
and the prices wasn't as low as what i've expected.
it is easy for you to exceed $50.
sale means you save money,
then why not spend more to save more?
haha.
the queue was terrible.
just be prepared to queue for at least an hour.
as we queued for 75 mins.

the partner came over at night to fetch me so as to help him out with an event he's having.
it took us hours to get like 70% things done.
while he was driving me home,
i took a short nap,
at the first few minutes before falling into a mini dreamland,
i felt him patting my head.
when we've reached,
he was laughing softly.
why?
cause he found it funny the way i napped.
told you that we love making fun of each other.

i miss him

my lower back hurts and i've been walking like an old lady,
bending towards the front.
and it definitely hinders me from walking my usual pace.
i had to slow down to prevent the pain from occuring.

as i'm watching the soccer match between singapore and lebanon,
it reminded me of the partner.
he may not be a famous soccer player,
but i've always enjoy seeing him on the field chasing, dribbling and kicking the ball.
and it's a proud moment whenever he shoot the ball in the net.
i've known his ways.
after a match,
depending on whether his team won or lost,
he would either give me a sad face or a happy, smiley face.
and i just know what to do.

both of us have own individual goals to achieve.
we talked about it and we really support each other.
in years to come,
we'll hope to achieve it.

i was in class when i received a sweet sms by the partner.
i smiled straightaway.
he knows how much i appreciate such messages.

have you been in such a situation when you're alone and suddenly you reminisce the past and there's a smile forming on your face?
or perhaps you chuckle to yourself?
i believe in every day event,
there is something to laugh about.

for example,
even when looking at pictures in the com,
especially when you have identical background but 2 different poses,
you can create a moving pictures by pressing the arrow buttons at different speeds.
few seconds later, you will start laughing to yourself.

of course there are many other things to laugh about.
perhaps in the train,
you noticed a super kiasu aunty,
the moment she rushed in, you can sensed her determination to get a seat in the train.
after sitting down,
she would turn her head to the left and right to look who is beside her.
and then she will look at the person in front.
i'm sure you have notice such characters.
isn't it amusing?

even a mistake you did can be funny.
like you tripped on something.
or even fall down.
honestly, i won't be angry if someone laughed at me if i fall down,
it will be nice if she/he can offer help.
i always laugh to myself when i fell down.
because i am already embarrassed,
keeping it cool seems hard,
especially you know there were people that saw you.
haha.
so i'll just laugh it off.

a day after

on sunday evening,
i rang my phone as i wasn't sure where i placed it.
it was the partner who answered me.
then i realised that i've forgotten my phone.
it was inside the partner's bag.

he returned it to me yesterday.
and we had a good home cooked dinner.
that togetherness.

the partner and i felt that we are not in reality.
we don't feel the mood for work or school.
we miss rehearsing,
we really miss the 3 days.
it was such a great experience!

i am still awake digesting the information that

because it was really an unexpected win.

it did made me intimidated but the partner was there to calm myself and believe in us.
for that,
it helps us to enjoy ourselves and give the audience a good show.

on top of the free japan trip from previous contest,
now we have a free hong kong trip.

seriously,
by the end of day for the past 3 days,
we got tired.
all we wanted to do was to sleep!
why?
cause we had to report 8am for sat (semi-finals) and sun (finals).
to rehearse before people starts pouring into the shopping mall.
when we were on stage,
suddenly,
it got uncomfortable when you smile and your muscles near your cheeks and mouth area twitched.

i really like to thank our supporters.
they were a great bunch of enthusiastic supporters who cheered us all the way!
they screamed and clapped loudly for us.
it was funny that we already had fans (apart from the family members) who wanted to take pictures with us!

after the prizes were presented to us,
we were surrounded by flashes.
that we had to parade around the stage so as people can take pictures of us.
it was so WOAH!
like many many paparazzi taking pictures.

what an experience.

a photographer requested the partner to carry me so as to we can pose for the camera.
hahah!
i was lifted and bring down safely.

i really don't know what to expect from the new paper tomorrow.
we shall just wait and see.

finally, a news from them.

so i wasn't cheated after all.
after winning the contest,
i was supposed to get an email from letlovebeyourmuse regarding collection of my prize by 14 march, which was last friday.

every single day,
i'll login to check and get excited whenever i received a new email.
but it wasn't the email which i'm expecting.
=(

however,
there weren't any email on the 14th and over the weekend.
the partner got kinda panic because he was really looking forward to go to japan with his beloved girlfriend and parents.

his parents are excited about going japan too.
his mom was asking me to check halal food in japan, etc.
i'm sure it will be a well deserved break for the 4 of us.

yesterday while i was checking my email,
there was a new message.
it was regarding the prize collection.
i was overjoyed.
it wasn't a fake.
=)

this week,
i have something to look forward to.
i am simply excited for friday!
the partner and i will be competing with other couples for the title of "the most compatible couple".
it will be held at vivocity, about 5 pm i guess.
this is just a qualifying round to proceed to semi and finals.
there will be about 23 couples and 8 will be choosen for semi and 5 for finals.

the partner was kinda reluctant with the idea as he has work on that day and he was "shy" (with me, you won't be shy).
after much persuasion, i managed to convince him.
he had to ask someone to cover him as he follows his girlfriend's request.

he's getting excited
asking what shall he wear, how we can prepare ourselves.

our main objective is to have fun and challenge ourselves.
it will be sweeter if we can get a taste of the prize.
but it doesn't really matter.

when i slept last night,
i set 5 alarms to wake me up.
this is what i told myself.
if i wake,
i shall go to school.

thus i was fighting against time.
it took me a long time to realise what the question really wants.

sunday morning,
i had to meet him up so as we can attend a kenduri over at his grandpa's house.
as he finished work on sunday morning,
we decided to meet up in a bus on the way to his house.

he had a sudden plan thus we had to get off the bus.
what was his plans?
to eat mcdonalds.
i was stunned by his reply.
because during the journey in the bus,
i was thinking of having mcdonalds to fill my hungry, growling tummy.

our second telepathy happened when we were in the car at a junction.
out of a sudden,
waffles came to my mind.
a few seconds later,
the partner asked.
"honey, i feel like having waffles. how about you?"
i was again stunned by the question.

today morning,
after sending an sms,
just 3 seconds later,
i received an sms.
it was from the partner.
he wasn't asnwering my question.
that was when i figured out that we had send an sms about the same time.

it is such a beautiful coincidence whenever that happens.

last week,
we had the march children carnival and it was a success!
i tell you,
it's a headache preparing for an event.
however,
the results were satisfying.
kids had smiles and laughters on their faces.
that's rewarding.

it's 2.31am.
and i was just home 20 minutes ago.
i was out since 3 in the afternoon.
11 hours,

it was such a nice sight to have so much balloons in the hall.
and it was tiring to tie them.
luckily we have the helium tank to blow it up.

and i'll have to report a while later at 8.15am.

ever since the previous post,
i kept smiling to myself whenever i hear the dedication.

how we met, what we did, where was our first meet, what was the first movie?
there might be a chance that i can remember it,
because the memories we have together are kept closely to my heart.

about 3 years back,
i had my first date with him.
after my driving lesson,
head to the place where are suppose to meet.
knowing that i was early,
i went to the library (a perfect place to wait),
i read a book while anxiously waiting for you.
i have no idea what to expect from you.
we chatted online and have a good connection.
but would that happened in real life?
there were so many that were running through my mind while waiting for you.
i don't know what was the first impression i left you with.
all i know,
i was excited and nervous.
my hands started to get cold and a little shaky,
and my body got all jittery.
several minutes later,
i saw a person standing in front of me.
when i looked up, it was you.
looking back at me, giving me a smile.

we had a simple date with no dinner.

and so the partner suggested that we watch the leap years.
that was what we did, yesterday.
we watched it and like every movie, we reviewed on it.

movie title: the leap years
story length: it was kinda draggy.
conclusion: if you are at the verge of giving up on love, catch the movie. it shows how fate and destiny brings one to the other half.
overall: it didn't really meet my expectation but it's alright. (okok lah but it was sweet)

there is no use being alive without experiencing any love.
i don't only refer to romantic love but other love such as parental love, friendships love, siblings love and many other love.

people who loves you try to accept the way you are and always want the best for you.

and you know you can always count on them in times of need.

love makes us feel special,
and it gives a boost to our self esteem to know that someone loves, supports, agrees with you.
i guess we need love to assure ourselves that we are likeable.
on top of that,
when you have people who support,
they would tend to encourage you and how do you feel?
i'm sure you will be happy.

i realised something important about human beings.
we are all afraid of dying,
unless you are brainwashed (like the suicide bombers) or severely depressed.
admit it,
there's that fear in you.
we tried all means to protect ourselves from all kind of dangers.

and there are 2 things that are crucial to human life.
the brain and the heart.

without the brain,
you will die.
without the heart,
you will die.

the brain is the one that makes us unique.
it thinks, it feels, it perceives, it stores.
the heart is the one that pumps blood and oxygen to the different parts of our body.
it makes the body parts to function.

so now that we know how complicating human are,
we got to treasure it and be thankful.

the zoo trip!

after a week later,
finally i'm able to meet the partner!

there was a family day at the zoo and we decided to go.
=)
it was fun fun fun!
we played games, interacted with the kids, ate popcorn, candy floss, did our own keychains, had a body art.
