the hk trip

it all started with the compatibility challenge when we won ourselves a free trip to hong kong.

this is changi airport at about 6am.

spot the plane that i took?

we checked in early and we wander around.

making ourselves to the gate.

and so we got on the plane.
you can spot his dad's hair from this picture.

the plane took off and a few minutes later, we were above the clouds!

it was a 4 hour journey,
to keep ourselves entertained in the plane,
we watched movies.
i managed to watch 27 dresses.
while he watched some other shows.

i got all excited when i saw greens.
greens means land and land means we're reaching!

true enough,
30 minutes later,
we landed safely to our destination.

we had to queue for an hour to get through the immigration.

we got ourselves in a bus and that lead us to our hotel.

this aren't offices.
it's flats.
it is amazing how high the flats are.

the streets of hk.

after checking into our hotel,

we head out again!
the streets have a lot of neon signboards,
and it reminded me of the old chinese movies especially those cops kind.
it has the same setting.

we walked a distance to look for a place,
where toys are. (the partner's idea)

we took a train to get around much faster.
the train station has a lot, lot, lot of stairs.
his mom was simply tired from climbing and going down the stairs.

a toy shop.

we were hungry and we were looking out for halal places for us to refill our stomach.
on the way to the restaurant,
we came across an old fashioned lift.

classic i tell you.

the place where we had our dinner.

send his parents back to the hotel since they need rest,
and the partner and i venture out again.

the view of hong kong island at night.

we were really tired,
thus to keep ourselves energized,
we took photos.
because when you take a photo,
you ought to smile.
when you smile,
you will feel happy.
when you feel happy,
you tend to ignore your tiredness.

the next morning,
we head to another place for breakfast.

it was the tastiest kebab i ever taste.

and we went to the beach for sightseeing.

the half day city tour brought us to a jewellery factory
and to my surprise,
the partner's parents bought for me a S$1,000 worth of necklace.
his mom said i will only get the necklace when i get married to the partner.
haha.

we end our half day tour at a sinseh shop.
and gosh,
it was the most expensive visit.
both the partner and i spend S$300+ each on medicine.
all because of our health.

to convince myself,
i kept chanting,
health is indeed important.
haha.

the partner and i went out again to venture a new territory
while his parents rest in the hotel.

we explore and we came across

which made the partner really happy.

mission accomplished!
he had found the toys that he wanted.

*shakes head*
my 7 year old partner.

by the time it was dinner,
i tell you,
our legs were jelly-like and we were already tired,
but we need food.
his parents rest in the hotel,
while me and the partner had to walked such a long, long distance (took us an hour) to the other ebeneezer's kebab outlet.
all to discover that they have a free delivery service.
-_-

and we came across this.
a halal cyber cafe.

the owner of the cafe is a singaporean

i took advantage of the free internet service.

so after the tired and endless walk,
we rewarded ourselves with belgian waffles and ice cream!
what's a holiday without ice cream?

it really made the long walk worth it!

the final day.

we took a tram,
a bus that is run on electricity.

as our flight time is nearing,
i am excited to go back to where i belong.

we had dinner at the airport.
and it was popeyes chicken and biscuits!
it has the certified halal sign.

and oh yes,
chilli in hk is expensive so the person gave us only 3 packets of chilli sauce.

the way home.

we had a delicious dinner on the plane while keeping ourselves entertained by watching movies.
i watched the bucket list.

in one of my earliest entries,
the partner was suggesting to get a couple watch.
and that was what we did.

sweetheart,
i have no regrets with you.
no matter how tough the challenges are,
i know we will still get through it because
we both know that our love is too strong and precious to let go and we need each other.
and baby,
i always love you.
