shikin and i have officially explored every inch of jurong point.
we walked past every shops and entered most of the shops.
we went round and round and round the place,
because we have lots of free time while waiting for the partner for a task to do.

when the partner came,
he was finding for a perfect spot for the task.


but there wasn't any nice spots.
and so he drove us to orchard road.

the partner was excited to go orchard so that he can have his favourite meal!
ayam goreng from ayam bakar ojolali.
during our journey,
he even asked me to called the place for reservations.
however it was almost closing time,
so we are unable to make a reservations.
butttt....
we are able to tapao the food!
haha!

i'm gonna rest for the whole of today and reflect on my 2008.

my friday, saturday and sunday!

i've been wanting to update.
but i've been sleepy since i didn't have a proper sleep this past few days.
and now that i can't sleep,
let me share what i did for my friday, saturday and sunday.

all i know i had great fun with the people around me.
and i'm a lucky girl.
=D

first of all,
happy new year to all muslims!

so friday, i had an outing with my girlfriends on friday to celebrate my 22nd.
first up we had our usual meal.

i really love the combination of the ketchup, fried chicken and the rice in my mouth.
the partner and i are hooked to the place ever since the first time we tried the food.
there's just something about the ketchup.

anyway,
the girls,
'sabo-ed' me.
i was given an a3 paper below,

and yes,
i had to get 22 signatures.
well,
with negotiations,
i just need 11.

i had to approach people for their precious signatures.

thanks guys!

i managed to approach a caucasian couple and the lady signed for me.
and she mentioned that her birthday fell on christmas.

such nice friends i have.
thanks ah!
next year,
i'll make sure i'll do something.

we went to visit syafiqah and nazierah had sweets to share.
haha!



and they brought me to a lorong.

everyone has different taste.
for me,
i would rather sit in a nice comfy diner and chit chat.
well,
make sure there's nice yummy desserts!

the 5 of us chilled at esplanade area, looked at the floating balls which one of it is ours and we chat about things that we have in common.
haha!

shikin, insyirah and i took the night owl bus home.
i gotta commend on this,
the last time we took was months ago and it was 8N.
but now they have changed the route and the bus number to 5N.
the route which passes by the 'hot-spots' is longer and it took us extra 30 minutes to reach home.
*sighs*
i doubt i will take 5N again.

anyway,
on saturday evening,
both shikin and i had a duty to do.
to help out with some prize redemption thingy for the community club new year celebration event.

we were kids once again!
shikin and i got ourselves henna and body painting.

and my night didn't end there.
i went bowling with the partner and his parents!
and i reached home at 2am.

oh yes,
before i forget,
i've got to say that i've improved my scores and my bowling technique.
it was my first time to get a turkey!
yahoo!
3 strikes in a row!
now the partner feels the competition.
=p

and oh,
i witnessed 3 guys who ran out of the cab without paying.
they ran really fast that i can't remember their descriptions.
fast as in,
run for your life kinda fast.

my sunday.
we didn't have any belajar and the partner and i took advantage of it!
he fetched me to see him play soccer.
it was my first time seeing him play in the other team.
he's kinda shy still.
haha!
under the blazing sun,
he was running aroung, kicking the ball to his team mates, assisting them with some goals.
and he managed to scored one.
what i really enjoy was seeing my partner smiling at me from afar at the field.

we got indian rojak to fill our growling tummies.

we tapao it and ate it at west coast park.
it was a fun time eating together.
superb meal!
we finished everything.
the sotongs, fishcakes, egg, etc, etc, etc!
=)

west coast park was filled with families.
kites were flying high, kids were playing at the playground, some played frisbee, some cycled and lots more activities were done there.
we got lazy and laid down to see the greyish clouds that has some spots of kites.
we spent our evening watching the skies and talked about random stuff.

the partner send me home and chilled at my place.
and he managed to play guitar hero.
he's already hooked to the game.

the partner told me the plans for new year and chinese new year.
basically,
i will spend my time with him and his parents.
i am looking forward to it!
new year,
a one day visit to kl to visit his grandaunt and have a sleepover at nenek house and shopping spree!

we have our good days and not so good days together.
the good days are wonderful!
all romantic, sweet, fun and happy!
whereas the not so good days are horrible.
i don't need to mention it.
as much as i want to have all good days with him,
it's impossible.
that's when we need to provide comfort to one another and help to get through the day.

our snow fun!

man, it was a great christmas holiday!

we played with snow and slided down the long stretch of snow 3 times!
we wanted to do more but it was too cold for us to take it.


as today is christmas,
there were carolling in the 'snow' and also a bespectacled santa claus.

it was really fun despite the numbness!
i've been to the snow city at least 3 times since it opened and today i went with the partner, his parents, insyirah and fatin.
the six of us slide down all together!
throw snow "balls" at each other and experience falling snow.
and we had a great laugh at it!

when i read the reviews about bedtime stories,
it just got 1.5 stars out of 5.
but i guess i can't depend on the reviews.
it was actually very nice and funny!
i enjoyed watching it.
i would give 3 stars.
=)

when there's adam sandler or ben stiller,
it's a must watch movie!

and i've got a date with my girls tomorrow!
yay!

i'm pretty tired right now.
guess, i will just lay on my bed, stare at the ceiling and think of the partner.
haha!
or perhaps disturb insyirah.

being 22

i woke up with a smile on my face after i read a text message from the partner.
i can't help it but to read it over and over again.
as i laid down on my bed,
i felt calm and serene even though my heartbeat was beating faster due to happiness.
it makes me feel as if i'm falling for the partner all over again,
it's the weird exciting feeling i have whenever i start liking/loving a person.
old memories of us started to linger in my head,
and i looked through the calendar on my phone.
looking through the months and years.
i know one of the date will be a special day for us.
i am not certain when but i know there is,
and with every year that pass,
it is nearing.
it is exciting to welcome the transition.
=)

anyway,
i've gotten my results and i'm pleased with it.
i've passed!
just 2 more semesters to go till i can be a real adult,
start to earn $$$$!

the partner and i met up to watch yes man.
i was earlier so i peered down for him.
when i saw a familiar shirt,
and a familiar face,
it took me a while to digest that it was the partner grinning at me,
because he had a haircut and i couldn't recognise him
he looked as if he had just booked out from camp.
short and neat.
it's been a while since he had this kind of haircut.
and i like the new look,
smart.

yes man was alright,
nice and funny.
about how saying yes can change your life.

and yes,
people do not really welcome new things in their life,
they rather stay in their comfortable zone.
what i mean is,
we are just happy with the way we are,
only at times we add value to our life,
by taking courses, skills, etc.
it would be interesting to try out something new and different,
but why are we not doing it?
what's stopping us?
so next time say yes.
but we need to be wise enough,
not to say yes to things that are damaging to our health.

the partner's mom send both the partner and i a sms.
about how often we watched movies this month.
she advises us to cut down so we can save for marriage.
i replied her saying that the tickets we're watching for yes man is free since i've got the birthday treat from gv.
after sending it,
an unhappy feeling sprang within me.
i felt rude and bad about it just about that 1 sms.
i mean i shouldn't have replied the way i did.
she's giving advice and it seems like i shun it away.
i am not but it looks like i am by the reply i gave.
i felt awkward because i don't want to tarnish my relationship with his mom.
and i sent a long sms letting her know that i apologize for being rude and thanked her for her advice.
she did replied and it seems like she's okay.
but still i felt bad about it,
and bought her a sorry gift,
the fruits that she's been finding for.
she gave me a call and i guess we're cool.
in a good way,
it is a reminder for me.

the partner came over after the movie and he's hooked to the guitar hero game.
so yesterday,
the band was made up of insyirah the vocal, syafiqah the drummer and mutalib the guitarist.
and i laze around watching them,
i was tired.
whenever i saw the partner play,
i had to laugh,
especially with his moves and expression when he played the guitar.

while driving the partner home,
the partner and i came up with a list of resolutions that us as a couple need to do achieve.
and we have 5.
firstly, to pray more often
secondly, to do a weekly revision on our studies
for the third one, i don't really favor this one, it's jogging. initiated by the partner.
he said while discussing "honey, i would like you to go jogging with me weekly"
i was stunned!
my eyes became big.
did i heard correctly?
jogging? weekly?
whatttttt????
i came up with excuses but the partner was smart enough to counter me.
he convinced me that after our weekly revision,
we can go jogging to release our stress.
ok lah ok lah.
i agreed with him,
it's for our health also.
the next,
to manage our finances,
keep a record of what we spent on.
and lastly,
to cut down on fast food, soft drinks and movies.

and now,
i want to sleep!

syukur alhamdullilah atas segalanya.

my birthday

my 22nd of december 2008 was fantastic!
bye 21, hello 22!

my 21 was beyond my expectation.
i did lots of stuff that i didn't imagine that i would do.
i will always remember 21 as an awesome age to be.

now 22,
say hello to whatever is gonna greet me,
be it good or bad.
i accept my life the way it is.

i would like to thank those who remembered my birthday,
because in a way or another, it makes me feel good,
feel good to be remembered.
thank you!
for all of your wishes!

i was indeed curious to know what are we gonna do and where we're gonna go.
however,
the partner doesn't share anything with me.
when he fetched me,
i asked him for hints,
whether it's north, south, east, west.
no luck.
but by driving on the aye.
i knew,
no north.
so it might be in the south.

and i named him a few places.
he still remained silent.
haha.

when it was nearing the lower delta exit,
2 places hit my mind.
sentosa or mount faber park.
and he really did exited there.

and my guess was right!
it was sentosa!
and he told me the plan for the day,
except for the venue for dinner.

first up,
blowing of candles on a mini cake at a height.
reminded me of my 20th birthday,
where i blew the candles in the cable car.


yeah,
we took the skyride!
we skip the luge to take the skyride twice.


we had lunch then off to see the colourful fishes!

there was a change of some plans since i won a pair of movie tickets to a show later below.

so we head to our dinner location at downtown east.
hei sushi!
it is the first halal sushi conveyor belt in singapore.
the partner was really excited to bring me there.
and i can really sense his happiness when he entered the place.
hahah!

while i'm wondering what should i have.

so what free movie did i get to watch?
i've won myself a pair of tickets to the gala premiere of
ponyo on the cliff by the sea.
it's a japanese anime.

it's very cute lah!
the partner kept on laughing about the name,
ponyo.
and about it's being the no. 1 japanese film in 2008!
haha!
the story is kinda draggy but it's interesting and very cute!
the colour combination is nice.
it's a cool movie.

and oh,
i've got my last present from the partner.
=D

since he just find out that there's a leisure soccer,
he got to get home and bring his soccer stuff.
so while waiting for him in the carpark,
something strucked me!

and so i've asked him to drive slowly.
the partner was smart enough to know what i was up to.
haha!

and so my dedication came out on the radio,
which was read by yas from class 95,

which i truly did.

and so he head for soccer after sending me home.
about an hour or so,
the partner called me.
asking whether he should come up to take a rest.
and he did.
he came over my house and he joined the kids (fatin, insyirah and syafiqah) to play guitar hero,
each taking turn to play the guitar, drums or become the vocal.
mind you,
it was already 2 in the morning.
i had a fun time looking at his reaction when singing.
he made me laugh so hard!

that was how i spent my 22nd of december.

i am 22 as of 22nd december 2008!

the whole gang of us watched the match between singapore and vietnam.
dad, papa 2, my sisters, insyirah & syafiq, haziq, hazirah, the partner's parents and the partner and i.

i have to say it is disappointing to have such a good turnout but the scores didn't say so.
there are several opportunities, however no goals from singapore.

and i followed the partner home.
he warned me that tonight is gonna be simple, hope you like it.
since he reached home,
he was busy going in and out of the room.
i'm sure there's something in there that's gonna surprise me.

we had supper and there's a birthday cake for me when the clock striked 12 midnight.


the partner's parents gave me $$$ for this year birthday.

when i opened the door,
i saw the candles arranged in 22.
and some other things.

it's a movie marathon with a projector!
and there's a comfortable seat for me to laze on.
with snacks.
and candles.
the partner even wanted to massage my legs.

i had a good time seeing the partner playing with shadows.

and today he's said gonna be a romantic one.
that was why i spend half of my birthday sleeping, so i will have energy for what's in store for me.
i'm excited really!
