a great start to 2010!

how was your last day of 2009 & the new day of 2010?
i hope that whatever you've planned, went on smoothly.

for me,
it is definitely better than last year's!

my late 31st december 2009 was spent with the partner and nurul & her fiance.
it was a simple double date but enjoyable.
we played games and have dinner together.

that was funny because i was wondering why on earth he was turning the phone and seeing the sides.


my hair was truly in a mess last night.
dot. dot. dot.


after separating our ways,
the partner & i head over to his house since he wants to have a change of clothes.
while he had his rest,
i had a chance to talk to his parents.
his mom about weddings & his dad about phones.
and look through our japan & hong kong's trips photos.

so how do the partner & i welcome the new year?
initially i wanted to go to the southern part of singapore,
but afraid of insufficient carpark,
the partner suggested to go to my cc to do the countdown with my other fellow grassroots leaders.
hahahahaha!
i thought he was kidding.
but nooooo.
he was serious about it.
hahaha!

yes,
we welcome 2010 in the cc's hall.
we had a great laugh together seeing people on the dance floor!



the partner afterwhich took the camera and snapped a picture of us saying,
"honey, let's take our first picture of 2010"

the results!


we went to my favourite rooftop carpark to take in the atmosphere.
the moon stood proudly in the vast dark sky.

we even saw red planet, mars.

this was a picture of us attempting to take the picture with the moon.
see the white spot on the left side?
that's the moon.

however,
that's the only best shot of us with the moon.
haha.

and we ended up taking silly pictures together.

that doesn't end our night.
we head back to my house and chill.
we had potato chips to accompany us while watch halfway through da vinci code and another halfway through dark knight.

and i got up this morning with a message from the partner.
guess i'll be meeting him later.
=)

the partner was asking for my new year resolutions which i replied i don't have any.
and so i asked him for his.
he: my new year resolution is to love miss nurul atirah more and more
i went silent for a moment taking in what he just said because i wasn't expecting that at all.

even though we had a simple celebration,
no wild beach party,
no fireworks or whatsoever,
i felt really happy.
my life is not all bright & colourful all the time but when i know it's my "up" days,
i take in every bit of it because it's the memories that are going to help me through the "down" days.

4 more days to the 4th!
