that weekend when we confirmed!

the last weekend i had was bittersweet.
i have no idea why i had a hard time planning my schedule.
whatever i wanted to do seems to be not right.
rush here and there.

my sister, insyirah and i were invited to the istana garden party and we had a fun time walking round the tent to find famous people of Singapore.

syafiqah and insyirah

a shot outside of the istana.

i really enjoy myself despite me being in a bad mood.

afterwhich i had to rush down to do an interview for an upcoming dinner later this week.
that was the first time i had to do an interview in front of the camera and i have to say,
i felt awkward,
it's like i'm on a hyper alert mood.
overall,
i'm glad it went on fine.

this week is going to be tiring.
for tuesday and wednesday,
i have to attend meetings for different committees.
thursday,
a rehearsal.
friday,
dinner at meritus mandarin for international women's night.
gagagagaga!
and all i know march 2010 will soon be gone.
and we have to welcome april 2010.
time never waits.

on sunday morning,
my sister and i had a free lunch at the cc for chinese new year celebration.
compared to the previous years,
food was better.
=)
just that the place was hot.
and it is uncomfortable when you have to eat while you're sweating.

afterwhich later that day,
i can't stop smiling knowing that the partner and i made a decision.
finally apart from the date,

another thing is being confirmed for our wedding!
throughout dinner at dallas chicken and ribs,
i was smiling and jotting down notes for our wedding.
we attended bows (blissful outdoor weddings show) 2010,
and while walking past every exhibitors,
i thought it's not going to be useful to us,
until it came to the last exhibitor.
it was indeed a life saver!
we consult the person regarding our wedding,
questions after questions,
it was only after an hour plus chatting with her,
we made a decision.
and i really believe that we clinched a very, very, very good deal.
(right honey?)

remember the post i had weeks back regarding 70% confirm at that location?
we scraped that place off due to budget and space constraint.
so now we have several new place in mind.
=)

i am getting excited,
well the both of us are.

we even had a proposal and budget to show our parents regarding the wedding dinner.
it was only yesterday when the partner's parents came to my house that we managed to sit down with my parents, his parents and my grandma to discuss and ask about their views on our concept.
i can say they were worried and hesitant.
however i think with both the partner and i background in planning and running of events,
we managed to convinced them and gained their support.
we made sure that we try to cover as much aspect as we can when they asked us questions.
and they should know by now that the both of us really want this.

just today,
i came out with the programme.
while doing it,
i was already imagining how it's going to be run on that day itself.
i keep switching myself from being the bride shoes to the guest shoes to ensure that we both can have a great time that evening.
i believe that our guests won't be bored and are willing to stay till the end of the dinner.
=)

the partner has already told me that he would like to focus on the decor and food.
good!
i really like that.
i would focus on minor details like the invitation cards, flowers, guestbook, etc.
of course what we are doing are subjected to each other approval.

honestly,
i am excited.
i think i have said that before.

it will be an unique experience.
=)
the wedding dinner will describe us as a couple.

honey,
i believe that this is the best event that we ever had to plan in our lives.
apart from that,
we shall never lose vision of what we want our marriage to be like.
and insyaAllah,
with each other existence,
we will be experiencing close-to-heaven on earth.
amin.

i love you sweetheart.
