what is in the name?

ever since my husband and i knew that i am pregnant with a girl,
the name hunting began!

we looked through online and books.
there are so many names that we procrastinate our search.
in the end,
we decided to narrow down our search by looking through names that starts with our initials.
M and A.

finally after weeks of searching,
we agreed on Mishel Aairah.

we chose Mishel not because it sounded like "Michelle" but it is because we wanted a unique name for her.
seldom that we heard a malay girl called Mishel.
the meaning of Mishel which is of Arabic origin is light.

for Aairah,
there are several spellings but with the similar meanings.
Airah, Aira, Aaira, Aairah, Ayra, Ayrah.
in the end,
we chose Aairah which is also of Arabic origin which means noble, respectful, respected, honourable.

we had her naming ceremony by my ustaz after 5 days of her birth to bless her.

with her upbringing,
she will live up to her name.
