i always believe that there are 2 things that are crucial for the development of life,
be it character wise or physical.
balance & discipline.
the 2 co-exist with one another.
in order to have a balance,
you will need discipline.
one example would be eating.
what happens if you eat out of control?
you might be overweight.
so how do you balance what you eat?
easy,
discipline.
next,
if you're a shopaholic,
and spent without self-discipline,
what will you end up with?
of course the new items you splurge on however if you don't control it,
you might have trouble with your finances.
one more example,
if you enjoy doing what you like to do,
it might then lead to become an addiction,
which can be out of hand.
and it may disrupt you to function a normal life.
so i believe what's important is for you to balance what you do.
because overbalancing it can harm you.
and to overcome the balancing act is by having self-discipline.
because when you have self-discipline,
it means you are taking time off to think rationally.
you know what it is right and wrong, black and white.
we are not mindless people,
we all have a gift that helps us to function,
the brain.
we have it and why not use it to our advantage?
i know it's hard to use our self-discipline since it's waaaaaaay easy to give in to temptation.
but it is that which saves us from destroying ourselves.
of course, what's good for us can be hard for us to take in.
let me provide you with an example,
remember when you're a kid?
when your plate is filled with vegetables?
personally for me,
when i was younger,
i don't really like those.
cause it's yucky and tasteless!
i rather prefer eating sweets and crackers (which is full of processed ingredients)
now that i can think,
i came to realise that vegetables is good for me and try liking it.
so yes,
what's good for us may take time for us to like it.
well,
balance doesn't just exist in us.
it also occur in the earth.
she too need a balance.
global warming occurs because there is an unbalance in the atmosphere,
due to carbon dioxide.
thus,
an increase in temperature,
which we are suffering in.
basically,
i'm just trying to point out what's good for you and try practising more self-discipline.
we know but we just don't do it.
why?

now i'll update on my daily life.
the ice cream man didn't came by today,

been waiting for the kring kring kring ring ring, but nothing.
i've been craving for it!
please come today and make me a happy girl.
in the evening,
the plan that the partner and i have was to watch a movie in a cinema.
but due to his work,
we had a change of plan.
so in the end,
the partner fetched me and went to burger king since he's been craving for the burger.
after which, he came over and watched a movie at home together.
we had a good time catching on things and teasing one another.
talks with him always make me happy and fulfilled.
=D
halfway through the show,
he was feeling sickly.
so what i did?
i pampered him,
not that i've not been doing that.
perhaps i'm giving him special attention since he's sick.
he always love it when i massage his shoulders and caress his hair.
but whenever i massaged him,
my hands will always get tired.
but for love sake,
tired also nevermind.
=]
as long as he's happy.
i am grateful to have the partner to spend time with me.
i may not know all the sacrifices that he did,
but i know he had done it.
and also i have to thank him for dedicating his life to me.
