it was very colorful and there were a lot of nicely decorated floats.

when i first got the tickets,
i saw my seat number,
it was way back while the others were a.
so initially i was quite disappointed thinking that i won't have a great view of the parade.
but that assumption was wrong.
in fact,
we have a very good view of the whole parade!

the tickets stated that we need to be seated by 7.30pm.
but since the partner had work,
he fetched me at about 7 and we choon choon reach raffles city shopping centre at 7.30pm.
thinking that we are late,
we walked as fast as our legs can take us to the venue.
upon seeing the entrance,
we gave a sigh of relief.
why?
because we saw a lot of people queuing up to be checked before entering.
so we weren't late afterall.
we still have time to take pictures.

to kick off the parade,
there were different kinds of lions welcoming the guests of honour.

the goh were on top on the lion head.

and the parade begins!
we had a chance to hear and see fire crackers!
aiyoooo... it was deafening!
*pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop*

colourful unique floats passed us one by one.

this performance below involved fire sparks.
it has a really nice effect.

cute eh the doll?

this float has a theme of pirates of the caribbean.

while this,
noah's ark.

there were a lot of floats and performances that it took about 2 hours to finish.
the performances consisted of indonesia, philippines, india, korea, japan, and other associations,
each displaying their unique cultures.
the last performance,
a magic show.

and to end it off,
there were fireworks!

suddenly,
there was a loud boom that made people literally jumped our of their seats.
it was a huge firework which i didn't managed to get a shot of it because i was busy laughing at 'seat jumpers'.

the finale.

both the partner and i had enjoyed watching the parade.
and how can i not enjoy the company of the partner?
he was cuddling me and pampering me.
i felt so loved.
haha!

that didn't end our night.
we head to starbucks to tapao cheesecakes!
and we ate it over at my house after our meal.
the both of us had a great time teasing one another and being silly.
we were all smiles and laughters!
for today,
i went with my fellow yec members for chinese new year visiting.
and i was able to know more and asked them about the chinese culture.
it was interesting.
haha!
of course there were hongbaos!
and tomorrow cny lunch at the cc followed by a movie outing with the yec members which the partner is following.
=)

honey,
loving you is my forte.
