chingay wonderland and cny visiting

chingay wonderland tries to bring us to a magical place where there was a lot of performances to keep us entertained.
it was very colorful and there were a lot of nicely decorated floats.

when i first got the tickets,
i saw my seat number,
it was way back while the others were a.
so initially i was quite disappointed thinking that i won't have a great view of the parade.
but that assumption was wrong.
in fact,
we have a very good view of the whole parade!

the tickets stated that we need to be seated by 7.30pm.
but since the partner had work,
he fetched me at about 7 and we choon choon reach raffles city shopping centre at 7.30pm.
thinking that we are late,
we walked as fast as our legs can take us to the venue.
upon seeing the entrance,
we gave a sigh of relief.
why?
because we saw a lot of people queuing up to be checked before entering.
so we weren't late afterall.

we still have time to take pictures.

to kick off the parade,
there were different kinds of lions welcoming the guests of honour.

the goh were on top on the lion head.

and the parade begins!
we had a chance to hear and see fire crackers!
aiyoooo... it was deafening!
*pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop*

colourful unique floats passed us one by one.

this performance below involved fire sparks.
it has a really nice effect.

cute eh the doll?

this float has a theme of pirates of the caribbean.

while this,
noah's ark.

there were a lot of floats and performances that it took about 2 hours to finish.
the performances consisted of indonesia, philippines, india, korea, japan, and other associations,
each displaying their unique cultures.

the last performance,
a magic show.

and to end it off,
there were fireworks!

suddenly,
there was a loud boom that made people literally jumped our of their seats.
it was a huge firework which i didn't managed to get a shot of it because i was busy laughing at 'seat jumpers'.

the finale.

both the partner and i had enjoyed watching the parade.
and how can i not enjoy the company of the partner?
he was cuddling me and pampering me.
i felt so loved.
haha!

that didn't end our night.
we head to starbucks to tapao cheesecakes!
and we ate it over at my house after our meal.
the both of us had a great time teasing one another and being silly.
we were all smiles and laughters!

for today,
i went with my fellow yec members for chinese new year visiting.
and i was able to know more and asked them about the chinese culture.
it was interesting.

haha!
of course there were hongbaos!

and tomorrow cny lunch at the cc followed by a movie outing with the yec members which the partner is following.
=)

honey,
loving you is my forte.

i never want to lose you sweetheart

when i woke up this morning,
i realised that i am sobbing.
my tears were overflowing,
so it means that i was sobbing for quite sometime.

i dreamt about losing my mother and the partner.
i was utterly sadden by the thought of it that i can't help but to weep.

in the dream,
my mother was shot and before she left me,
holding her in my hands,
having blood flowing on my hands,
we managed to exchange our last words which ended with 'i love you ma'

out of sudden i was in another scene.
this time the partner was dead.

i can't take it.
having 2 loved ones dead within a short span of time.

in the dream,
i've tried living my life with the partner gone,
it was really hard adjusting to that life.
my days and nights were filled with cries.
my bestfriend, my soul mate, my everything is gone.
i have nothing,
just an empty soul,
an lifeless body.

if the partner is gone,
i don't have the best person
to talk to,
to tease,
to complain to,
to joke with,
for company.

i don't know how to cope if ever that happened,
i could just cry without any warning
because every minute would remind me of him.

both the partner and i did talked about parting.
and we realised that the only way for us to part is through death.
because we truly love each other and we believed that we can't find another better person for us.
the partner has been a very impactful person in my life.
and i can't describe how much he really means to me because it's endless.
those who are in love should know what i mean.
treasure the moments and your loved ones.

honey,
i want you to know that i love you very much,
and i will do anything within my means to make your life meaningful.
i can't bear to lose you sweetheart.
and if god takes you from me,
please let Him gives me the strength to move on in life and perhaps let me be your wife in heaven.
because i didn't get enough to shower you with my love on earth.
you are my true love.
i want to be with you forever,
till eternity.

the batam trip

i am still not late to wish all my chinese readers a........
prosperous chinese new year!

i was back from the batam trip yesterday.
it was fun and so enjoyable having the partner with me.

how can i not enjoy free trip right?
the trip is sponsored by the partner's dad.

thanks cik!

the first thing the partner looked out for when we visited a shopping mall was a&w.
upon seeing it,
he was so ecstatic!
his whole face lighted up!
if he was a small boy,
he would have jump on the spot.

the happiness spread to me when i saw waffles and ice cream!

:D
just nice!

what i realised about the traffic in batam was that even though there wasn't much traffic lights to guide the drivers and motorists,
they are considerate to give way to the others.
and of course the road is always filled with honking to warn the others.
unlike singapore,
it is just so hard to slow down to give way to people.
maybe because for us every minute is $$$$.

just a shot at the hotel's lobby.

and for 2 nights straight,
we had seafood!
when the waitresses start serving,
we all start digging and we don't care about anything other than filling our stomach with the delicious dishes.

and it was the first time i tried gong-gong.
haha!
not that bad.
i kinda get hooked to it.

both of our dinner were filled with laugher because of the pelawak!
can't help it but to laugh!

and on the 2nd day,
we went to a bridge.
the bridge was soooooo windy!
and we can hear the wind.
wooosh woooosh wooooshh......

you can see how windy it was by the pictures below.

i am helpless with my hair due to the wind.

part of the bridge's structure.
taken by the partner.

the focus is on my hair.
a fan can't blow my hair that way.
so you can imagine how strong the wind is.
seriously,
i felt that i can be blown away because the wind was really strong.

throughout the journey in the bus, the partner and i got restless and we played thumb challenge,
the 'pepsi cola 1, 2, 3' game.
and look at how small my fingers are.
haha!

the partner and i decided to explore the places near the hotel and we dropped by macdonalds.
they have coke float there.
=)

i love the hotel's swimming pool.
it is surrounded by tropical plants.
and it was really nice!

and the partner and i had a chance to swim.
=)
haha!

breakfast was alright.

while waiting for the partner's mom to shop.

and of course i didn't forget to get nyam nyam!
wooooooo!

right now,
i've already eaten about 12 of it.

the last shot taken at the lobby.

i don't know what kind of pose is this.

throughout our stay there,
*boom boom boom*
we managed to see lots of fireworks.
one of their ways to welcome and celebrate the lunar new year.

the clothes there are smaller,
like a size smaller.
i feel so fat being there because i can't fit much of the clothes.
well,
take it this way,
we see westerners big sized,
so over there,
they see singaporeans as big sized.
we should be grateful that we have more than enough food to eat,

away from the trip,
instead of spelling and using the baby 'by'.
or bie or bi or whatever other spelling.
i decided to use bee!
haha!

and a joke i have for the partner.
what did you have for lunch bee? honey?
haha!
get it?
bee and honey?
haha!
ok i'm lame,
i know.
just new idea that i'm willing to share.
i'll still remain with honey.

honey,
thank you for that first touch.
i needed that.
thank you for putting me first and protecting me.
honey,
thank you for being my boyfriend,
my sweet boyfriend.
our hands will never let go.
our love will never fade.
we will never part.
i love you baby.
